yeah i think over the course of the season eh wins this handily. Jennings value isn't going to sit where it is as he has only played a couple of games, not to mention his comments the other day about shooting more and passing less.
What's in it for munchy?

Are those 2 official votes against the trade?
I assume yes
2 more are required for the trade to be vetoed
Edit: Having given this more thought, it does appear to be a bit too lopsided for my liking also...will continue thinking about this before I submit an official vote

I'll refrain until I can see the reasoning, may not be veto worthy.
To me its one chucker for another. Jennings - Gay. Dragic - ROLO im not sure on, I think Goran still has a very active role in Phoenix and ROLO potential is ultimately capped for the season.
But I may be missing something.

To officially vote against the trade, please refer to the sticky thread above this one (Trade and Veto system 08/09) Rules are the same except 4 votes are needed (not 5 - during that season we had 16 teams) 3nations.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=trade&action=display&thread=389Current Trade in which you are Vetoing: Reason to why you are vetoing this trade: Any other notes:

I would like to officially veto the trade. Manager Name: Phxsuns Current Trade in which you are Vetoing: Eh and munch trade Reason to why you are vetoing this trade: I think it is too unfairly tilted in eh's favor, He will benefit greatly in practically every category and it is not at all fair Any other notes:

Lol huh, you can veto trades because of your opinion on them in this league?
In my experience trades are only ever vetoed in the event of proven collusion considering yano, as the team manager I should be able to manage my team as I see fit!
But when in Rome etc., so I'll give my reasons for the trade: - Due to my being unable to log on for the draft, I ended up with guys like Bynum and Nash who are basically zeroes. So I realised I had to rebuild my team on the fly and concentrate on building strength in categories that I had a chance of being competitive in. The only categories that are usually available on the waiver wire/FA are specialists (3's, steals, blocks, rebs) so I had to rebuild around strengthening those categories.
- Luckily, my first few autopicks help in achieving that as they're all well-rounded big men. My goal is to try and build around efficient scoring (FG%), passable FT shooting (all my bigs are around 70-80% shooters), rebounds, blocks, steals, 3's and low turnovers, be getting rid of high usage perimeter players.
- Rudy Gay is a high volume shooter with low efficiency, and Dragic is valuable for providing assists, but I wanted a PG who could give me 1.5+ threes and 1.8+ steals a game. Even with Jennings' high TO, I lose about 0.9 turnovers a game overall with this trade, go up in FG% about 2%, and gain about half a steal a game.
- Robin Lopez is a starting center who averaged 26 mpg last year and is so far at 30mpg this year. He gives me rebounding, blocks and a steal every 2 or 3 games, and importantly, is a good FT shooter (career 73%) which is something that I value considering all my other bigs are good FT shooters too
To be fair, I acknowledge that in absolute terms I'm probably not getting fair value for Gay and Dragic. But I wanted to be rid of Gay, and I'd had Dragic on the trade block for a while with no takers so assumed no one was that high on them.
If you guys still think it's a bad trade then I don't mind, because that seems to imply that you guys who vetoed are willing to top the offer, which is a good thing for me!

Whoa haven't been on here much since this trade was made. Did not expect this reaction from the trade.
I'll start by saying Munchy was the one that made the offer. After looking it over I liked it and accepted.
For me I had 5 guys with C eligibility and felt I could deal with letting go of Lopez. Like Munchy said, he's a starting C with pretty good security as there's no real challenge to him in Portland. He's averaging almost 9 points and just over 7 boards and over 30 minutes a game. Over this last week he's almost averaging a double double with over 13 points and almost 10 boards with good percentages.
Letting go of Jennings was a little tougher. He's been playing pretty well so far this year since coming back from injury.Getting Dragic back helps ease letting go of Jennings. Getting Rudy Gay in the deal was what made this for me as I was in need of someone to fill a SF/PF role. He contributes a little across the board and was pretty enticing in this deal. When I look at the deal overall, it's more of a Jennings for Gay and Lopez for Dragic.
Looking at the deal overall, I will admit I'm probably gaining a little more then I'm giving but if Lopez can continue his upward climb, especially without having anyone to steal minutes from him, then I think this deal is closer then what people think.

Munchy - glad to see you in here defending the trade, as i think you have your own reasoning behind it, i see no reason to veto even if i think its a good deal for eh, i get that you're in a position where you have to make bold moves
few other notes tho
i think despite being frutrated with bynum tho, you cut bait wait to early, he still may give solid value
maybe setting some pre ranks next time in case you miss the draft will stop this from happening
i think its a great deal for eh but not enough for a veto here

Yeah I don't wanna make excuses - my fault for not setting pre-rankings. I expected to be at the draft but experienced some computer troubles, won't happen again. That said, that was the situation I found myself in so I wanted to adjust quickly.
As for Bynum, I really don't see it. I see more Brandon Roy than Zyndrunas Igauskas in his injury situation to be honest - he's got a chronic degenerative knee condition, and he's come out and said he's thought about retirement a couple times already.
If my team besides Bynum was a little better, I could've waited it out to see if he could turn it around, but I just don't have the talent to wait around for him without bleeding losses to start the year. And if (and its a big if) he does turn it around in the future, I probably would be too far out of the race to capitalise on that anyway what with him chipping in like 6 points and a block twice a week atm.

After hearing the explanation from Manchester it makes more sense though I reckon munchy could have gotten more and I think he's being a little optimistic re RoLo given he started on a similar way last season but couldn't maintain it over a season.
I'm still not certain if I'll veto it though.
