Haha sbnation? That site is as legitimate as bleacher report. Meaning? User submitted articles. Regardless, the only thing I agree with there is the speed call. He's not as agile as other wing players, however lack of concentration? Come on cuhhhh, I swear some people base these opinions on watching live stat feeds on the net. It's the realgm forum curse, stat heroes, not enough basketball minds.
Those links posted Reavers do not prove anything other than another fans opinion.

his defensive rating (points allowed per 100 possessions) last year on basketball reference was 108, which is pretty awful. currently 107 so far this year (lower is better obviously)
defensive win share was pretty average too

I don't believe in advanced stats. It's something forum heroes designed for their arguments and unfortunately it's crept it's way into the NBA up to the point where certain coaches now implement it.
I work off what I see, not what is detailed in stats or advanced stats.

Zach Lowe is one of the most respected writers around the league, but I watch plenty and form my own opinions.

Exactly, it's just a bloody shame your opinion is completely wrong on this topic

if you want to talk stats... try this on for size... and I know it doesn't tell the full story, but its uncanny...
Scottie Pippen vs Chandler Parsons rookie seasons...
points - 7.9 9.5 rebounds - 3.8 4.8 assists - 2.1 2.1 steals - 1.2 1.2 blocks - 0.7 0.5 FG% - .463 .452
second year stats...
points - 14.4 15.5 rebounds - 6.1 5.3 assists - 3.5 3.5 steals - 1.9 1.0 blocks - 0.8 0.4 FG% - .476 .486
third year stats (so far, so will be weighted towards Scottie)
points - 16.5 16.5 rebounds - 6.7 5.1 assists - 5.4 3.9 steals - 2.6 1.0 blocks - 1.2 0.6 FG% - .489 .526
Now obviously by his 3rd year Scottie was considered an elite player, and made his first All-star team in the same year. But the numbers are trending towards Chandler becoming a similar player, not defensively as insane as Pip, but who is? In a team of all time all defensive players, you will find most people will put Pippen in at SF. To be honest, I expected Chandlers numbers to creep up a bit more this year, but you have to remember, the Rockets haven't really found an identity yet - they are still toying with lineups, Asik is being a prissy bitch and has subsequently been used as a 10th man, so they haven't really got it going yet. Once they are more comfortable with rotations and the chemistry grows with Dwight, I believe his numbers will grow to reflect the White Pippen label I used.
Might I also add, Scottie is my favourite player in history (along side Jordan) so I don't say this lightly.

All this Pippen vs Parsons discussion really inspired me guys! I spent about 20 minutes looking at stats between Wes Johnson and Earl Clark.

Nice to see my guys putting it together this week. With missed games from bogut, dwill, and now nene, it's encouraging seeing them putting the team in a position to win.

I have no idea...)anyway after this matchup im planning another win streak but its a lil tough from here on but if I can stay even w fg % and ft % I should have at least a better then even chance in the next 3 matchups its going to be very interesting

It's never a good thing when Marvin Williams outscores Paul Pierce, Chris Bosh and OJ Mayo by 7 points. Friday was a tough day for me. Hope to salvage a good weekend to make up some ground.
Officially activated Rondo and put Sanders on the IL, eligible to return on Saturday Dec. 14th. Hoping to see Rajon back soon as I could really use the assists and steals.

Redskins should get home tomorrow but very happy with some of the production from the bench. It's now on my starters to get it right (rubbish week from Kyrie, Horford and Noah)
Love seeing His Treyness getting it going. The crappy shooting will be there most of the season but otherwise he's getting better.
