Well, I know not many people have been active on here, but what the hell, some of you might be checking in here to discuss the draft tomorrow/later today.
So, some questions for discussion:
How far will Embid fall? Will Exum surprise and get picked no.1 ahead of Wiggins and Parker? Will the Cavs screw up their pick again? Who will be the big riser on draft day? Who will have the biggest fall on draft day? Which teams will trade out one of their picks in the draft? Which teams will trade back into or buy their way back into the draft? Who will be the big sleeper in this years draft? Will there be any second round steals?
Plenty of questions to consider as the draft starts in about 12 hours time (i think).
For those in the Dynasty league, the planning for the rookie draft will probably jump up a notch once everyone knows where these young prospects land. It's one of my favourite days on the basketball calendar!

Keen to see this Exum-Burke backcourt. Exum still a bit raw though, I'll be looking fwd to summer league for once.
Surprised to see everyone pass on Ejim, he'll catch on somewhere in the summer league.
Shabazz Napier --> Chalmers gone?
Good for Bairstow for making the cut - hopefully with hard work he can land a spot with the Bulls
Pick for 2nd round steal is Cleanthony Early

I reckon one second round steal is Glenn Robinson III. He didn't do that much last season, but with better talent around him he could be next seasons Tim Hardaway Jnr

I like little Dog, likes to shoot the elbow jumper like his dad. Could be good with Rubio and Pek. I was surprised the Bucks passed on him for JOB 3 at 36.
I think there will be a lot of player movement July 1, should be interesting.
Not a Shabazz fan but I know a high school coach that loves his game. I thought Russ was better.
Have some guys that I loved but I'll wait til after the keeper draft.
Wish Roost was still around id love to read his take on Jabari. Will he be Melo/Pierce or could he develop some Dirk in his game?

If Roost was still around I reckon we'd be hearing about the rebuilding of the 2011 championship team with Chandler coming back into the fold, plus he'd no doubt be straight up insulted that the Rockets haven't offered Parsons a multi-year deal.
It certainly looks like being a busy off-season with the four studs from the 2003 NBA draft all available. I'm really curious to see if Miami try to keep Bosh around, or whether they focus on retaining just Lebron and Wade, and then bring in a solid, more traditional C to provide a better interior presence.
What will the Lakers do??? Will Love get traded???
I reckon I'm going to get in trouble with the wife for not paying enough attention to her this off-season, I'll be too busy checking bleacher report and twitter for the latest rumors.

As long as Diaw come back I will be happy. I would like to see mills come back but I dont think he is as important as Diaw.
Speaking of which can someone update my logo to put 14 somewhere in there? I was thinking maybe in the middle?

I wouldn't know how to do that to be honest. My bro was the one who did some nice work with images not me.

It certainly looks like being a busy off-season with the four studs from the 2003 NBA draft all available. Really? Whats Darko up to these days? :-P here is my take on the upcoming free agency, for what its worth... LeBron, Wade and Bosh all stay in Miami for another run - Wade will sign the longest possible deal, LeBron and Bosh will sign short deals with early player options. Melo will go to the Bulls. Parsons will end up at Dallas. Pau Gasol - since Dallas just picked up Chandler, the scenario of Pau going to the big D is VERY slim now. I actually think he could end up at Chicago (if Melo stays in New York), or if Melo does go to Chicago, Pau could likely go to New York (he loves Phil and vice versa). Kevin Love will end up at Houston - him and Dwight next to each other is just too damn tempting! Kyle Lowry will somehow end up in Miami, even though they just drafted Shabazz, a PG that LeBron wanted. Actually, Im starting to think Houston might be the place for him if they miss Love (or can afford both, by getting rid of Lin). Luol Deng - Assuming Parsons goes to Dallas, I think Luol could end up in OKC as a great 6th man. it would be a reduced role for sure, but I think he's at the point where he wants a ring more than money. Marcin Gortat - I think he stays in Washington - they'd be silly to let him go. Patty Mills - assuming Lowry doesn't want to join the big 3 in Miami, I reckon they'll have a crack at Patty. Ultimately though, if SA can afford to pay him a mini-MLE or something ($3-4mil/year), he'll stay. He loves Pop, he loves the culture and the diversity in SA.

Really? Whats Darko up to these days? :-P I wondered how long it would take someone to say that lol. My take for the off-season is pretty much as follows: Wade and LeBron re-sign with Miami and they make a run at Melo (but fail), while possibly trying a sign and trade of Bosh to Toronto for Lowry and maybe a guy like Patterson. They then move to sign a big floor spacing big like Spencer Hawes, to create space for Wade and Lebron to go to work. Trade or sign a cheap defensive big (like Dalembert, or maybe Seraphin) so they have something that resembles a defensive backbone on the court. Chandler Parson re-signs with Houston after they miss out on Melo. Melo to choose between Miami and Chicago, but goes with Chicago because he prefers to play with defensive bigs that can cover his arse, and Gibson and Noah will do that every game. Pau Gasol, who is sick of Kobe, moves to NYK to get out of the spotlight ......ah maybe not......but he will reunited with the Zen Master and Derek Fisher and play next to a fading Amare Stoudemire.....this could get ugly. Dirk - re-signs with Dallas, duh!!! Luol Deng - gets overtures from Dallas, but chooses a bigger role at Atlanta. Kevin Love - the Warriors get close, but then refuse to let go of Thompson and Love moves to Houston, in a trade for the recently re-signed Parsons, a first round pick, and Terrence Jones. Gordon Hayward gets over paid and Utah move on. Hayward could end up with the Hawks given he's a better shooter from range than Deng, but the Lakers spend the money and get him to Kobe a second scorer, and gives Randle a floor spacer so he can work in the post. Paul Pierce returns to Boston if he can't find a challenger to take him - I just reckon it'd be fitting for Pierce to finish his career as a Celtic. Could head to OKC as a backup sg/sf in order to try for one last title. Trevor Ariza could move to Houston (if they can afford him) to take the spot that Parsons vacates. That's all I got at the moment.

Roost has to be going crazy with the Mavs getting Parsons.
Exum looks like he's going to be a nice player. I kind of thought at the draft that he might be the next Lillard type of special offensive player. I can't believe the Magic passed on him for Gordon.

I think the only reason they passed on Dante was because they were confident of getting Payton where they did. If they thought there was only a small difference in their potential, it makes some sense, but I do think they picked Gordon to high. He'll be a good player, but they could have gotten a combination of Vonleh and Payton, which I think would have given them better balance. They must have feared that if they went for Exum at pick 4 that none of their preferred bigs would be there at 10, but they knew Payton would.....that's the only way it makes sense to me.

Roost has to be going crazy with the Mavs getting Parsons. oh yeah man, trust me.... he's excited! hahaha. Its a great move too. Im pretty stoked to have got Pau at the Bulls, even though I really wanted Melo.... but as an added advantage, Pau is on my fantasy team, so that heightens the interest quite a lot. I got 3 1/2 predictions right in my last post - this didn't pan out anything like what I thought it would ahaha.
