UA Minions sends Rondo and Diaw For Korver and Mozgov.
UA perspective. As big a fan as I am of the force of nature that is Rajon Rondo, I should have never drafted him. If Rondo returns quickly from his injury and plays all season because Boston is unable to find a trade partner then I lose this trade probably. Then again he could come back and play great and still be a bad fit for my current team. Korver and Moz both help me get stronger in areas that I am targeting. I think my team is in much better balance now and I get a little peace of mind.

I go through the trouble of specifying standard league in the title and I messed up my own team name. Taco truck not minions obviously.

On the face of it I certainly win the name recognition stakes, though Rondo is fairly overrated in fantasy depending on your team situation, whilst Korver is a top 3 underrated player every year who has finished with Top 35 value the past 2 seasons.
My reasoning for the trade is that Korver is highly ineffective on a team punting 3 point shooting, and lightly free throw shooting. Whilst Rondo despite the ? marks around him this year is someone that if he returns his value from non injured seasons will fit my need for elite assists and steals. I expect his FG to go up a lot from last year - the reality of last year is that he shouldn't have even been playing so i dont read much into it. Pairing him with Rubio certainly states my intent in all stat categories . Getting around 9rpg from my 2 points will also compliment my big rotation well. Overall, Rondo - Rubio - Collison - Knight is a fairly decent point guard rotation.
Mozgof is a bit gutting to lose, as the nuggets coach has been all over him and has publically signalled he will start and that Mcgee will struggle to get back into. Though again I've been clearly worried about fit in all three of my trades over complete fantasy value.
I think this trade fits your team well UA, and unfortunately due to my poor overall draft I am having to take on some risk with my team. But again that may pay off! It will regardless be fun owning a decent Celtic!

PP with the steal of the century. Geeze UA, had I known you were literally giving Rondo away for Ashton Kutcher and a bucket of "chups", I'd have shouted you two buckets.

Korver's really good, man. He brings elite production in a category without hurting you in any others. Rondo gets you steals and assists but murders you in FTs and is a PG who doesn't shoot 3's.

I actually see UA as winning this trade as I think MOz is going to be a top 100 player this year

?Chups? Is that kangaroo wings or something? Well roost if this trade gets vetoed I would be more than happy to strike up a deal with you. With this deal I get 2 regular starters, at least they will be starters at the start of the season. I know what a nuclear weapon rondo can be (I remember one season Reaver had him and completely single-handedly demolished my team), but I think a lot of uncertainty is negatively priced in with him these days. Even the things we do know about him this year are not certain: we know he will not start the season with Boston, and we know that we are pretty sure he will not finish the season with Boston. It's hard to say if I am selling high or low here yet. I could have waited until he was closer to returning to game action, and I did consider it, but that would have meant waiting 1-3 weeks without him for sure, .. Then what ? Does he come back on time or is he delayed a week or two ? How long will he be rusty ? If/when he gets traded will it even be to a team that will be good for his fantasy value ?You see my point I guess, his future is too murky for my comfort this year. I didn't want to take the chance that news would come out on him over the next few weeks that would be bad and he would become untradable. All things considered he wasn't worth the risk. Sadly I think munchs analysis is probably closest to the reality, though PP happens to have a roster where none of rondos deficiencies hurt him. All pp really needs to happen here is for rondo to show up and he's good. The way my team is presently made up I feared that his return might hurt me in some areas that I am trying to keep. Like I said if I was smart I would have not taken him in the third round at all, but instead I was dumb and greedy and brought myself to this point where I am trading my third rounder for a fifth rounder and a...11th round herer with moz I think? Probably not the best way to run a fantasy team, my ever-changing future outlooks sometimes lead to seemingly strange moves in the present.

Agree on moz being the best player in the trade. Korver is a solid role player but the Hawks are deeper this year = less minutes.
