So the Australian Boomers (whom Draymond Green had no idea about) took it right up to the USA Mens Team putting a legitimate scare through the USofA going by social media.
Then after Australia celebrated the effort of the Boomers, Andrew Bogut hosed down there enthusiasm by pointing out the we still lost so there's work to do. I love this attitude from Bogut. Australia is a serious medal chance and they know they could end up playing the USA again if they make it to the championship game.
As for the US reaction, Irving was classy and showed respect while Paul George called the Aussies dirty......i'm getting kind of sick of this to be honest. I posted the following comment on twitter in response:

So Paul George says @basketballaus play dirty. Serbs say #Boomers play MAN bball. Conclusion...Mr PG13 doesn't like playing against men.
It was said in jest, as a bit of fun. But oh my goodness are there some defensive people out there, and the one's replying to me don't seem all that smart (unlike those here who I have a heap of respect for).
one guy, who has since deleted his tweet, replied with "so why do you keep sending your players to the US only to lose to him?" I pointed out that PG13 had won no nba championships, we had 4 nba champions on our roster, so who was losing to who? - I wonder why he deleted the tweet?![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)
In other news, if anyone is watching the action in group B, it's a bloody tough group. Spain, Lithuania, Argentina, Croatia and Brazil are all tough teams to beat. Spain are 0-2 but could still win there last three and progress. Pau Gasol has been dominant, but I've been confused by the lack of use of Rubio by Spain. New 76er Sergio Rodriguez is being favoured ahead of him in a big way. The Argentinian vet core of Scola and Manu continue to get the job done and have Argentina 2-0. It's going to be fascinating to see who progresses.
For those that have drafted him Dario Saric has been looking good. Sergio Rodriguez looks like he could contribute in his return to the NBA on a 76ers team that is weak at pg.
I've been a little disappointed with Nikola Mirotic who has played his best yet. Scola and Manu are just so good in the international game.
Back to Group A, and France are starting to show their age. Parker has been good, but I reckon Diaw has been the biggest contributor for them. Batum seems to take a step back on this team, with DeColo becoming a primary scorer. Gobert also has been as big of a factor as I thought he would. Onto Serbia and you can see why Bodan Bogdanovic is nba bound. He's just a smooth athlete and scorer. Another Serbian who looks great is milos teodosic. The guy is a 6'5" pg and he can shoot from outside, handle the ball and pass extremely well. I wouldn't be surprised to see some NBA teams chase him. Nkola Jokic has been a little underwhelming, but I think that's due to the set up of the Serbian team given Miroslav Raduljica is there leading scorer at the C.
All in all, there are a heap of quality players in this olympics and it's great to watch.
