My team free-throw percentage is infuriating. Last couple weeks I have struggle just to reach the 70% mark. Even most of my best free-throw shooters are in the 60s. No choice but to write it out and hope this team wide slump works itself out in time but for now it's really painful.

The Cam - Balki Trade seems VERY VERY lop sided. Cam is getting 2 players in their PRIME with many many years of quality play left. One being a top 25 player (Ibaka) and a soon to be top 75 or better proven player in this league in Holiday (right now he is at 104 and dropping fast). For Mudiay (ranking 229 and can't shoot if his life depended on it and his future in the league is dicey). Chriss ranking 320 (pretty much can't get any worse than that). Only reason why he is getting minutes because he is playing with the Suns). If this trade goes through I think we are all handing the title to Cam with his already very strong roster. Balki I'll give you better players than Mudiay and Chriss for those two! Needless to say I am voting against this trade and urge everyone else to think this through. I would like to hear Balki's reasoning for trading away two young proven guys in their prime that will have a significant roll in the NBA for years to come for some dicey rookies that haven't proven anything. Makes no sense.

Makes no sense. There is a thread in the trade forum for this, and as you'll see in that thread there is a 1st round rookie pick in the deal. Please direct comments there please. Also going to ask that you refrain from stating your voting stance and encouraging others to vote your way. In the past, this has caused many issues in the Keeper League and i won't allow that in this league. Consider this the only warning for the entire league, future posts like that will be deleted Thanks

Consider this the only warning for the entire league, future posts like that will be deleted Thanks Come on Cam we are all adults here, everyone is entitled to their opinion. If I were in the Champs seat I'd probably be a little upset about the trade too. Would you be as defensive if your team wasn't involved in the trade AND a few GMs already stated that they felt the trade was lopsided? I dont think that we have the personalities in this league that are going to cause any rifts like the Keeper League, I barely pay any attention to it there anyway. Looking back at the Ben Simmons for Jimmy Butler trade it seems just as lopsided unless Simmons comes out looking like Embiid (which I doubt). That trade has set Fool up for a so far unbeaten season. The only match that Clutch has lost has been to your team Cam and things seem to be setting up for a 3 team race for the Championship as many teams have struggled out of the gate this year.

This has nothing to do with the fact i'm involved in the deal or not. Opinions are fine by me, it's the way they are expressed that i'm making sure the league understands what is the expectation going forward. I'll gladly discuss any topic people want, even if it's not my opinion. I'm avoiding arguments or posts that could lead to arguments.

Arguments are pretty human nature, as are emotions. As irrational as it may seem to get emotional about a free fantasy game it seems it happens.

I agree, but there are different ways to express opinions that don't encourage division in the league. My response to him had nothing to do with his opinions on the deal, simply how i as commish expect this forum to be used. Saying players in a deal suck or being upset that a team may be better than you is fine and by all means share those thoughts. Telling others to vote your way will not be allowed on these forums as long as i'm commish.

It's just a little weird that after a month nobody made me a serious offer for Ibaka. I put him out there very publicly. Oh, well. I hope everyone reads my rationale in the Trading Room. I wrote that before I noticed this thread, so it wasn't a reactive post.

Clutch, I was goofing around. I sincerely wish I had known you were interested - it would have helped my negotiating leverage. But I'm still OK with the deal; if others aren't, I will be happy to re-open the bidding and everyone will know the bar they need to jump over.
Now to defend Cam. Overall our keeper league (the other league you can see right above this forum) functions very, very well. However, there have been two lingering issues: 1) people were dissatisfied with an off-line injury system, but that was mercifully scrapped when Yahoo added an INJ spot, and 2) the trade veto system that requires a handful of managers to post their vetoes in the forum and explain their rationale. The "rationale" portion has often gone beyond what is appropriate and drifted into personal attacks or opinions that have little to no factual basis. This has led to people avoiding the forums or quitting the league altogether. I don't think your posts are anywhere near the worst we have seen, but if Cam's a little over-sensitive it's because this has been an enduring issue in the other league and he's doing his best to avoid that happening over here. We have a great group of guys and I believe we will keep it civil, so I'm personally not worried ATM.

Clutch - I have no idea how to respond to your post, other than to say i'd encourage you to read everything I wrote in this thread. I'd also like to second what Larry wrote and the reasons i'm trying my best to avoid conflict before it happens. Whether i was in this deal or not i would have handled things the same way.
