I think force touched on this the other day, it's now been 12 years since the 3NC was created and whilst I originally started the concept, you lot have kept it running stronger than ever. Now granted, I've pissed a few people off in my time, thus I'm not expecting people to follow along with this, however I thought to myself, besides my family and friends, I spend each day with you lads and with 12 years up, what better way to express who you are to other people? So, I thought I'd do a bio thread up. I don't expect people to fill it out, but it'd be cool to read through other peoples bio's to see who they are to a certain degree.
So I'll set mine up
Name: Jim Age: 30 Height: 6'3 Location: Brisbane, Australia
Occupation: Fully Qualified Painter, Level III in Security Operations
Family: Fiancé, 2 children (1 Step Daughter - 5 years old, 1 son - 10 months old)
Music interest: Primarily Heavy Metal/Hard rock. I'm a snob at heart.
Hobbies away from bball: Outside of having my hands full with two kids, I'm an old school comic book nerd and have a love of gaming. Throw in an addiction to Netflix marathons and 90's professional wrestling/UFC.
Favourite Sporting teams: Dallas Mavericks, Sydney Roosters, Brisbane Bullets
Sporting background: Rugby League (played for 12 years) Cricket - played for 4 years)
What year did I start playing fantasy bball? 2004
When did I start following the NBA? 1994, introduced to basketball by my two older, basketball mad cousins. Both supported the Celtics and Charlotte Hornets respectively. I started out as a Suns and Hornets fan, always loved Sir Charles and Zo. It wasn't until I saw a skinny blonde German kid that I fell in love with the Mavs. For our American friends here, the 90's were a boom period for the NBA in Australia. Even our national competition was a huge success. Unfortunately we've only just started to see a minor boom again due to the amount of Aussie talent in the nba. Our country is mostly fixated on AFL, Cricket, Rugby League and Union and Soccer.
Favourite player/s: Dirk, Nash, Barkley, Zo and Kemp.

Name: Tom Age: 38 Height: 6'4 Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Occupation: Finance, Accounting, & Operations
Family: Wife, 6-year-old son
Music interest: Rap, some hard rock. Every now and then some Mudvayne or Tool, stuff that would be too soft for Haydz or Roost.
Hobbies away from bball: Traveling (did a lot more of it before we had a kid and I worked for an airline), volunteering
Favourite Sporting teams: Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Gophers
Sporting background: Basketball 9 years (4th grade through high school varsity)
What year did I start playing fantasy bball? 2001 in Yahoo, had played some ESPN leagues before that.
When did I start following the NBA? The early 80s when Sidney Moncrief and Terry Cummings were leading the Bucks to the 2nd round of the playoffs every year. Milwaukee was a nuts NBA town back in those days.
Favourite player/s: Big Dog, Dudley Bradley, Michael Redd, Giannis, Jabari, Ray Allen

Actually I'm a huge fan of Mudvayne, have always digged Chad Grey's voice. My metal taste is purely based around Nu-Metal, Groove, Metalcore and Progressive where as Haydz on the other hand has a much longer sub genre interest (especially his love of Death/Thrash)
In regards to travelling, where have you travelled CL? I've got a huge desire to get to the states, though that'll probably happen once the kids are older and once we've done a UK trip (my fiancé is English).
I do highly recommend coming to Aus though man. It's a beautiful country with spectacular beaches (if that's your thing).

I haven't yet done Aus, but it's my #1 on my list. For I'm sure the same reasons as you delaying a trip to the states, I'm going to wait to visit Aus. The long flight means I need to reserve more than a week, probably a few, so it's going to have to wait a few years.
I've been to Scotland, England, Greece, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Canada, Mexico, and Japan. We are planning a trip to Ireland this summer - it will be my son's first trip outside the U.S. I've been to all the US states except Maine and Oklahoma (and only the airport in Alaska, so I need to go back there). My favorite spots are Minneapolis (lived there for 5+ years), Florida, San Antonio (great food, friendly people), New York for 3 or less days (really fun, fast-paced city but the sheer number of people makes me get crazy after a while), and San Francisco. I'm also irrationally fond of Pittsburgh. I had really low expectations before I visited, and it's actually a nice city with a surprising variety of things to do.

Oh dude Ireland is high on my list. My grandmother was born and bred there, I was raised in a traditional Irish family. I have massive plans to do both Northern and Southern Ireland.
As for the states, obviously Dallas TX, though I'd also love to witness a white Christmas in NY and finish it all up road tripping through Cali.

Great thread Roost. I reckon it's just a great idea to find out a bit more about each other too. We could actually talk more than bball here (put your knives down ppl).
Name: Phil Age: 33 (nearly 34) Height: 6'3 Location: Melbourne, Australia
Occupation: Human Resources/Industrial Relations Consultant
Family: Wife of 11 years, 3 children (2 Sons (nearly 7 and 20months) and a 3 1/2 yr old daughter)
Music interest: Very eclectic. Rock, RNB, the whole shebang. Boyz II Men from back in the day, Lifehouse, even Michael Buble (I played trumpet in High School)
Hobbies away from bball: Most of my time is taken up with my family of 5 as they get older and the weekends involve taking children to different events. Love a hit of golf, enjoy getting to the movies with mates, but basically I'm a basketball nerd.
Favourite Sporting teams: Milwaukee Bucks (love an underdog), Melbourne United (Aus National Basketball League), Melbourne Demons (AFL).
Sporting background: Cricket (for about 3 years in my younger years), Basketball since I was 7 (representative level with Melbourne Tigers from U16s to U20s).
What year did I start playing fantasy bball? 2004 when this crazy league started up.
When did I start following the NBA? Can't remember the exact year, but it would have been the late 80's,early 90's when the NBA countdown and other highlight shows were regularly shown on the weekend here in Aus. The Melbourne Tigers (now Melbourne United) where fantastic in the NBL, and the showtime Lakers still had something left in the tank. Then fell in love with the combo that was Pene and Shaq in Orlando before in more recent years becoming fond of the Milwaukee Bucks. Really enjoyed watching the Warriors pre-Durant, but have always felt a soft spot for the Bucks beginning from when Bogut joined them.
Favourite player/s: Earvin Johnson, Shaq, David Robinson. I always leaned towards the big men as favourite players, particularly the versatility of Magic.

I suppose it's time i jump in
Name: Roy Age: I've been telling people i'm 29 for the past 11 years Height: 5'8" Location: New Berlin, WI
Occupation: Finance Manager
Family: Wife of 13 years and 13 month old son. Also have 3 cats (ages 18, 1 and 1) and a dog (he's a miniature australian shepherd for my friends down under)
Music interest: Mostly Rock but will also listen to some rap and edm. Linkin Park is my favorite band, listen to alot of Deftones as well. A Day to Remember, Bring Me the Horizon and Highly Suspect are bands i've really gotten into the past couple years
Hobbies away from bball: Been into modifying cars (think fast and furious style I guess) for the past 2+ decades and have built 3 so far. Had a 1991 Eagle Talon and 2003 Hyundai Tiburon I turned into show cars. Currently have a 2010 Jeep SRT that I race on a local 1/4 mile track and also show on occasion
Favourite Sporting teams: Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, Tottenham Hotspur, Seattle Seahawks
Sporting background: Played alot of baseball as a kid. As i got older played alot of basketball but never on a team. Tennis was the only thing i played in school
What year did I start playing fantasy bball? 2009 (I think, at least in Yahoo). Had been playing fantasy baseball for many years prior
When did I start following the NBA? Like Tom, growing up in the Milwaukee area the Bucks were huge in the early and mid 80s. From as young as i can remember i've been a huge fan
Favourite player/s: Michael Redd, Ray Allen, Sam Cassell, Mo Williams (yes i'm serious). Currently Jabari Parker, Khris Middleton and of course Giannis. Favorite non Buck (maybe of all time) is Blake Griffin. Not sure if I liked him alot and that is why i usually have him on all my fantasy teams or if my fantasy teams are why i like him so much. I even bought a Kia because he dunked over one (only partially true)

Actually cam got me thinking regarding cars, what does everyone drive here? I own a 2015 Nissan Navara Dual cab DX. Call me crazy but I use it specifically for a family utility ute (I think you Americans call them trucks?). The tub space is essential for Prams, Bikes, Scooters ect. I'd never go back. Granted it's still fantastic for the occasional paint job here and there (not my primary income anymore). It's basically purely my all purpose utility.

Currently driving a 2010 Subaru Liberty wagon (Legacy in the US i believe), and have a 2008 Kia Rio as a run around car. Will hopefully move to a Ford Territory with diesel next year to tow our recently purchased caravan. The territory is basically a largish SUV.
Will have to sell the Liberty which has probably been the best car I've ever owned and driven.

I like this kind of thing... I'll play!
Name: Hayden (Haydz) Age: 35 Height: 6'3 Location: Perth, Australia
Occupation: Residential Construction - the housing industry. I do demolition as well though, not just build houses. I love demolition... I love it so much! *smashes coffee table in excitement*
Family: I have a 2 year old girl named Willow with my partner (I guess she's pretty much my fiance)... I also have a 6 year old girl, 10 year old boy and 12 year old boy to a previous marriage. I have them every second weekend.
Music interest: I know you all expect me to say "FUCKING METAL" or something.... well, you'd be right. But, I also very much enjoy all variants of rock, alot of old gangsta rap, hip hop (particular soft spot for the 90's stuff) and alot of the old classics that my parents generation listened to (CCR, Rolling Stones ets).
Hobbies away from bball: watching basketball, collecting basketball DVD's and video games, talking about basketball, reading about bask... oh wait, outside of bball... so, aside from that, my family time and working... nah, thats all. haha. Oh, I do enjoy gardening, Ive got a great veggie crop going on at the moment, and lots of tasty herbs too. I also enjoy building shit. I built a MAME (Arcade Emulator) - full cabinet with 2 players, proper joysticks/buttons, 3000 games etc. I also built a guitar recently - granted I cant play guitar, but that doesnt stop me building one.
Favourite Sporting teams: Chicago Bulls, Perth Wildcats (Aus National Basketball League), Melbourne Demons (AFL).
Sporting background: I pretty much only ever played Basketball... oh and T-ball as a youngster.
What year did I start playing fantasy bball? whenever I joined this league... 2013 I think.
When did I start following the NBA? 1990, just as the rise of Jordan really began and the sport spread to country towns in Western Australia. It was a natural progression from watching NBL games of course, and the rare moments I could watch an NBA game, I realized how different the leagues were, and how much better NBA was. Naturally, I became a Bulls fan thanks to His Airness. My interest spiked hard when I started collecting cards. That all started in '94 when a shitty fats food joint named Chicken Treat stareted giving away packs of 93-94 NBA Hoops cards. Suddenly I wanted alot of crappy takeaway chicken and chips. Ive now got over 10,000 cards, but I quit collecting years ago.
Favourite player/s: Jordan, Pippen, Kobe, LeBron, Adam Morrison, Shawn Kemp, Dominique Wilkins, Shaq
I currently drive a 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara XL-7. shes an absolute beast on sand, and I can fit all sorts of tools in her. I love my Suzi. V6 so she has a bit of go... you know... for a Suzuki hahaha

I've owned a GHIA, it was a piece of shit, despite it being the top of the line with all the fruit (problem is, all that fruit stops working pretty quick). Ive also driven about 6 different Territorys in my time, usually company cars or whatever, and they all seem to just fall apart. Oh and after driving a late model Liberty, the Territory will feel like a boat! Go a Prado or something... a Diesel Toyota engine will do 1,000,000kms with nothing more than regular services and normal maintenance.

listen to alot of Deftones as well. I saw them about 3 weeks ago or something. They were awesome! I was well impressed. Chino still rocks hard! They were supported by my favourite local band (who actually have a huge following in Europe) called Voyager. If you like Deftones and that sort of stuff, I reckon you'd like Voyager.

Nice to see i'm the midget of the group so far.
Have not seen Deftones live yet Haydz, but dammit it's on my bucket list (has been for years). When i had more time to go to the gym, my Deftones Pandora channel was about all i'd listen too. Have not heard of the band Voyager but plan to look them up when i get home (youtube and sites like that are blocked at my work). Thanks for the tip!

Just get an older model than the territory you were looking at... It'll still outlive it.
