PP sends: Amare Stoudemire
Mitch's Blazers sends: Kyrie Irving
I guess here is the opportunity for anyone who feels the need to veto

On paper it looks crazy, but I actually dont really have an issue with it. I think when Irving's minutes keep increasing his production is going to sky rocket and his assists will improve to the area of 6/6.5 per game. Amar'e is not a top 20 pick anymore.
Fine by me. Others may disagree though.

Amare is a negative as of late, however with Baron Davis returning he should find some sort of form with more pick n rolls available. Though I dont see him returning to what was MVP calibre start to last season.
Irving in a league where pointguards are gold in the current make-up is valuable to my team, along with the fact he doesn't hurt me in many places. Essentially all I lose out on in the long run is rebounds, and well Tyson Chandler on the weakside has nullified a lot of his blocking ability. It hurts in hindsight, trading away my 2nd pick but in the present its a desperate need for my team which is quite ok with bigmen already. Well thats how I justify it to myself anyway ha..

i think this is dumb pp, i'm not gonna veto it because while i think you've made an error, i certainly don't think its veto worthy
irving has been really good but he's still a rookie and alot of rookie seem to slow down eventually and condensed schedule may only increase those chances, he's jump shot has been rock solid so far but i wouldn't be shocker if it feel off a bit in the later part of the season
amare is a perfect buy low candidate and well done to mitch in scoring him, he aint gonna shoot 42% all season, he'll get that back up and start scoring more, he'll also start blocking more eventually
i guess you were desperate for a PG

I can see the points you raise.
Though having watched amare closely this season, he has been utter bollocks. All of his shots have been from outside, he is disinterested in defending or rebounding and overall just looks like a slouch.
Chandler is going to be stealing boards from him and well anything under 1.5 blocks a game and I dont think I lose a lot.
If anything knowing Amares health I think the compressed schedule will certainly be a factor counting against him rather than Irving - especially in a New York offense who play pretty much more possessions a game than any other team.
Looking at my team needs, I have been very competitive every week (I was 2nd in the first 2 weeks from what I last saw in terms of matchups dont quote me) this with Amare killing the team. I believe my big rotation is good enough to cover with Cousins emergence and well my Achilles heal was assists and Irving adds that. I think if anything as the season progresses a guy with fresh legs under him like Kyrie who gets more time to settle into the NBA will only improve.
Its a risk with high return and potential losses, though after shopping Mr Amare for a while no one wanted a bar of him!

mitch has had a massive asking price for Irving this whole time

Other than the turnovers which really are not relevant to me, Irving offers great value already, something which intuitively I doubt will decrease and if anything increase.
Amare on the basketball court AND fantasy wise has been utter junk. Seeing his dependency on other players around him to A) feed him the ball B) cover him defensively does nothing to make me think he will be any better than 19/8 this season, particularly with the emphasis this year on giving Melo more freedom offensively.
I can understand the asking the price.
