I don't usually forecast, but this WILL be a down week for me. Lower slate of games in total including my top guys plus have a couple injuries now. Still not expecting any moves for my team, but we'll see if any get INJ eligible. Just normal ebbs and flow of the season that I'd expect. Still loving my team makeup at this point although I don't expect to have the same pace of 8 players in top 50 and 14 in top 100 all season either.

I find it funny that the draft picks that we were all so enthused with and had such big dreams for are slowly being dropped as they are completely useless.

Draft picks being dropped was a dynamic I thought may happen but was curious how it would play out. In a Dynasty Format i wondered how many would remain patient with rookies that may not play. Having those empty roster spots creates matchup challenges week to week. I guess it really comes down to the ceiling you feel the rookie has.
I was fortunate to nab 2 guys who are actually getting minutes, and although they are struggling, i can at least see the potential.
My prediction was over 50% of the rookies would be on the waivers by mid season. I wonder how close i am on that?

Sounds to me like we need another roster spot

Sounds to me like we need another roster spot I was thinking the same thing, but you wouldn't be able to define as such for rookies, so it's probably not worth doing so - it'd be nice to have a 'D-League' type spot but I know that would be a management/commish disaster. It'd be nice if Y! had better managerial tools for something like this.

At this point I dont think that you are going to lose because another team adds a Belinelli to their roster if you decided to grab a Yabusele and stash him on the end of your bench.

In my opinion rosters are already adjusted to accomodate an extra spot or two honestly. I don't have any plans to expand rosters as i think we have a good mix of allowing teams to hold onto guys, yet having enough player movement options in FA. Personally i think people having to decide if they want to add Jakob Poeltl and drop Terrance Ross makes the strategy of the league fun. Adding more roster spots just eliminates more strategy in my opinion.

I'm with Cam. No need to change roster size. It's perfect the way it is.

If we would to add a spot what I would like to see is it done outside the league and once per year. Basically it would be like the sign an overseas contract. This would allow us to keep a younger player but not take up a roster spot. No matter how good he does or a how bad a different young player on your roster was doing they could not be switched.

My prediction was over 50% of the rookies would be on the waivers by mid season. I wonder how close i am on that? We are currently at 11/28 picks dropped, or 39%. I'm guessing we fall a little short of 50%. I should drop Maker and Spurs should drop Murray, but we both love our teams and will probably keep them despite it not being in our short-term interests. The top 5 picks are all roster-worthy, so this puts us at 7 guys that aren't likely to see the waiver wire. Saric, Sabonis, Chriss, Brogdon, and Brown have shown well at times and I think they will stick on rosters. That's 12 of the 28 picks that almost certainly will not get dropped.
If we are going to get to 50%, we would need 3 of these guys dropped: Hernangomez, Bender, Taurean Prince, Valentine, or Zubac. I think one or two will see the FA pool before year-end, but not 3 unless there is an injury.

I have thought about dropping murry but as you pointed out him being a spur keeps him on longer. That and I know UA is wanting to pick him up. I think Zubac should not be dropped as he will be good in a few years also. Hernangomez is starting to play more.

I know I have a fuzzy memory spurs, but I could swear I made that exact same suggestion in the 10 keeper a few years back and you gave me a ton of grief for it. Haha it takes you a little while but you always come around to my way of thinking… I think that idea makes more sense in the 10 keeper then in the full dynasty because it's hard to justify keeping a unproductive prospect at the end of your bench when you already have an idea of who the 10 keepers are going to be at the end of your season most likely anyway. but in either league I sense that it is an extra step that nobody really wants to deal with.
