NZP is a lot better at picking those spreads than IM. I think my best years in NFL pick em was when I consistently picked against my instincts. The NFL has been a bit unpredictable to date and I'm doing ok. Two seasons ago in Yahoo Pick Em, I was ranked 2 (sole) overall out of hundred and thousands of participants as at Week 15 but ended up finishing 40 something...still was pretty proud!

What a shitty week. In a pick em league I'm in I took some chances and ended up on the wrong side of all of them. Every close game except one I ended up on the losing side too. Then to top it off the Eagles played like shit (again) except they lost this time. What a brutal game. Couldn't even finish watching it. Not a good Sunday for me.

Hey Budge I didn't get to watch the Vikes over the 9ers, was it just dominance by Ponder?
Gotta love that the traditional powerhouses are struggling out of the gate this year.

I do not think the new replacements referees are doing that bad of a job. They do not deserve all of the flak they are getting these last couple of weeks. Of course they should be highly scrutinized but let's not forget that the old referees were far far far from perfect.
I wish the NBA referees would go on strike. That group is really terrible and in need of a lot of new blood

Yeah My NFL radar is all over the place this year. You guys make fun of me all you want, I can take it. My football opinion is not as informed as it used to be. Hopefully my NBA assessments are as good as always I say with a straight face.
At least I have the stones to make outlandish predictions public. Ah, But that is just the typical life Of your often ridiculed and underappreciated prognosticator.

It's funny I was all set to say you haven't watched enough games if you think the replacement refs are doing a good job because the Pats v Ravens game was awful, but i didn't get the chance and then the Pack v Seahawks fail mary happened. I think the nfl got what they paid for out of the rep refs, but it isn't like the reg refs are all that either. They need to work on taking some of the responsibility off of the refs on the field and put a ref in a booth constantly looking at replays all game with an earpiece etc direct to the refs on the field so if they aren't sure on a call the guy in the booth can verify the call before they make themselves look like idiots, and it would be much quicker than the field refs going under the hood.
Anyway, I don't have the time anymore to watch enough nfl games to really make too many predictions. Even the Packers have so much coverage here that I tune it all out and just watch the games that I'm home for.
That and I just like giving you crap UA. i guess I owe you some cheerleader pics, I'll try and work on that next week.

I don't know about the niners. I realize their defense is pretty good, but they also play in the worst division in all of football. They played well in the playoffs and all but that offense is offensive. Defense wins championships etc but I just can't get behind them. I guess too many years of hating Dallas and SF growing up. still of this belief reavers ?

As much as I love Russell Wilson I have no idea why he is still starting, and you can run against their D, GB just chose not to and lost for their troubles. I'm not a believer in ARZ, but I haven't seen them play. AFC/NFC Souths are probably the worsts atm.

NFC west is pretty tough defensively san fran, arizona, and seattle will all play you tough, all are a bit iffy offensively but theiur defense can keep them in game arizona is good, they've got some studs on defense that most of the NFL doesn't even know about, remind me of us last year before some of our guys got more recognized

Seattle - will trouble teams at home. Good running game (about all they have on offence) and some of the best defensive back core in the game...However, I won't expect too much of them.
Arizona - One of the shittest offenses in the league. They could bomb the ball to Fitzy and make big plays (and lesser extent Roberts). Their D is underated - Campbell, Washington, Lenon, Peterson, Wilson, Rhodes - Wilson may be their biggest name but Washington is quietly becoming the next big MLB. Still surprised by their fast start, don't expect them to win the division.
San Fran - one of the best D's in the game. Willis is the closest thing to a young Ray Lewis. Their offense mainly consist of the running game, but Davis is there to make big plays. Their offense is quietly "getting there" but don't expect them to win shootouts. I think they will lose to a team like Packers in the playoffs even though they beat them in the season.
Dark Horses superbowl contender - HOUSTON. I'm not picking them to win it but it should be worth mentioning. One of the most complete and balanced teams in the game. They've got a solid running game (Foster, nuff said and Tate if Foster goes down) and passing game is just as exciting (Andre top 3 WR). Their defence, with the emergency of JJ Watts, just wow! I'm not sold yet, but they are team to look out for!

I can't stand Atlanta, Matt Ryan is really overrated, love Houston though.
