Have all the keeper players approved and assigned to teams. Waiver order is set and Free Agency is now open with Waivers on September 11th.
Good Luck everyone!

You and UA kept 16. I figured you were leaving a spot open for a free agent.

Hmm I also wasn't supposed to be short by 1 keeper buuut it's OK because the guy I am missing just happens to be the guy I was planning to cut anyway, so also no worries. It worked out for the best. Cam, thanks for the work you have put in and good luck everybody.

I thought about picking him up with my waiver but decided against it as I may want it for a player later.

Ty cam, Tyler has been near the top of my wish list for a few months now, and the injury to Josh Richardson yesterday made johnson's pick up an imperative. Now if Yahoo would just get with the program and list Richardson on the IL then I would be a pretty happy camper. I hope they haven't decided to be really stingy with their Pre season IL designations, as I recall they were pretty generous with those last off-season.
My other pick up Solomon Hill would seem to be a day one starter at small forward in New Orleans... But speak of the devil and Lance Stephenson appears, hopefully he doesn't get in my way.

I was close to picking up Tyler Johnson as well. But, I figured I'll take my chances in hoping to get something better down the road. I hope it pays off.

I'm always fascinated by the strategy behind the waiver priorities and usage. Being #1 allows you to get who you want, which is a huge advantage. It's really a strategy of when to use it. I was liberal with my usage of my waiver being that i was #12. The downfall is i have so many people ahead of me that i lose out on guys (like i did Tyler here)

Last year with the #1 waiver pick I waited almost halfway through the season and decided to use it on Stanley Johnson. My hope was to get a talented youthful player that will be a nice asset on my team for 10+ years. A bit of a risk choosing him, but I liked his passion and work ethic to go along with his overall skill set. This will be the year to see if what I saw in him will pay off. He has worked very hard this off season to improve and wants to be great. He's not on the greatest team (Detroit) because there are a lot of guys that can eat up his minutes and take the ball out of his hand. But hoping he will be a top 20 or better player soon. Keeping my fingers crossed.

For me, my strategy is usually to use my waiver rank as soon as possible at the beginning of the season… that way, unless I find myself having to use it often, I find I am usually back in the hunt for the top waiver rank by sometime around Christmas.

Oh, and I officially second dire wolves Motion to add 2 roster spots to each team. Lol jk, I know he was just kidding. (... But just in case he wasn't… I officially second that motion!)

In standard leagues I usually use my waiver wire picks early. But in a dynasty league it is different. I pretty much like every player on my roster so at most I will substitute out 2 players max off my roster. Most likely only one this year. That being the case I want to be extra careful with the pick and get a quality guy now or one that will be turning the corner in the next year or so. One quality guy beats 2 or 3 mediocre players in my book. The tough part is finding that quality guy. It is usually somebody that is playing crappy and so someone dumps them. It takes a bit of talent to see through the struggles and hopefully find a gem.
