Re: Munchy
It's frustrating as hell as you just know that RC is going to fall in love with the 3 guard lineup. Fuck it wouldn't surprise me one but if he ran a 4 guard lineup, he's obsessed.
First game yesterday and BAM, 3 guard lineup in full effect with Nelson/Harris/Ellis

Just watching lakers for the second time in 2 days, looks like it'll be another big year of Kobe literally carrying this team on his back in terms of scoring. This team reminds me of the lakers era where they had Smush Parker, Kwame Brown ect. Ugly team, Lin is complacent as hell, Hill is a great rebounder though I just don't see him as a starting calibre big. Davis needs more time on the court, I like his activity, Boozer is rubbish, as is Johnson.
Kobe is literally the only scoring threat, Young needs to get his arse back ASAP to give Kobe some scoring help.

we're a real chance at not giving the suns our first this year after all, bottom 5 a real chance
lin will be up and down, he'll have some good games, agree about davis, i've liked him for years and we might be his chance
Boozer sucks but he's the only big that can create any offense
it feels worse then all those laker teams, mainly because kobe is in his 19th season now, he is gonna try to carry but back in those days he could score 35 per game over a season shooting 45% and still defend ok, this year he'll be looking at 25ish and i wouldn't be surprised if we see a career low FG% and he'll get abused defensively

Nah exactly, as great as Kobe is, you're right. He simply can't do everything like he could in the past. It's like Reggie Miller said yesterday, father time is undisputed.
Jordan hill is a frustrating player. Good energy, great rebounder, but a huge offensive liability. He's the type of player you need on a team with 3 or so legitimate scorers, similar to Varejao. In this setup? He's just not that useful when the lakers need more offense from someone down low.
Ed Davis really needs more time on the court though, there's no upside playing Boozer with big minutes.
I'd be keen to see how good this team is with Young back because Wes Johnson is horrendous.

Where will Rondo go?
This is the last major Domino that needs to fall that will make or break franchises in both the NBA and fantasy alike. Boston might have been wise after all to wait until the season started to really start shopping him, particularly now that the landscape around the league is so much clearer. There really isn't a lot of options out there for him to go to because there are so many great point guards in the league already. Rondos pickiness isn't helping matters... Sacramento had an offer on the table for him but he already said he would not sign with them so that deal will probably never go through. That may or may not be true but for the moment let's say it is and Sacramento is out. What does that leave him? He says he wants to go to a winner but I suspect that dollars figure heavily into his mental equation.
What about the Lakers? To be kind the point guards there are terrible. Okay so Los Angeles is nowhere close to being a winner, but it's still Los Angeles and as bad as they are that brand still carries a lot of weight and money. Kobe is gaining a reputation around the league as being someone who is difficult to work with, rondo (unlike Dwight Howard) isn't going to have a problem with that because I see him as a very similar kind of insane basketball genius like Bryant. I think those two lunatics would get along like peas in a pod.
How about the New York Knicks? The Lakers of the east. They have money, they have prestige, and now that calderon is hurt so I hear, they now have a need for a point guard. Again this team is not a winner, but who cares? It's New York!
Maybe Detroit? Dj Augustine is already putting a massive drain on Jennings value. Getting rondo would seem to be A massive improvement. But wouldn't getting him mean the Pistons are punting three-pointers? I'm not sure that is a Leap svg is willing to make.
As good as rondo is there is not a lot of teams out there that fit all the criteria that all sides are looking for.
Which leads me to my guess for where he is going to go. Oklahoma City. This fracture injury to Westbrook could be the signal okc has been waiting for to move Westbrook and get what they can for him. Okc needs someone to get durant The ball a lot. Rondo Will do that. Okc needs someone that will force the rest of the roster to get involved with the offense. Rondo Will do that. He wants to go to a winner. Check. Boston wants quality in a trade. Check. Throw in a few players and pics to even it out. Seems like a good fit to me.
There might be some other team that I overlooked but I can't think of them off hand.

I think you hit the nail on the head there in noting that so many teams are set already at point guard. The teams that could use him don't really have anything to trade for him, and the teams that have trade pieces don't want to give up assets for a guy who's on an expiring contract and could bolt after playing this season out.
It sounds like Ainge isn't going to trade him unless he gets an offer that blows his socks off, so unless he caves and deals him for a few nice young pieces/a draft pick/cap relief (as opposed to the franchise-player price tag he's placed on him), its looking more likely that they re-sign him next year and try and trade their young pieces and draft picks for another proven star, similar to how they built around Paul Pierce back in 07.
