Munch, yeah I considered Boston and you could be right about them ending up keeping him. Ainge holds his cards really close so he is hard for me to get a read on. My impression for the longest time has been that Boston would rather move on with a fresh young new and less expensive team and that they are afraid that there may be nothing they can tell him that will convince him to stay leaving them with nothing if he walks. Perhaps if Boston can make it into the playoffs this season they could convince him to stay at some sort of a more reasonable discount.

cavs went down to utah, now 1-3 - personally, i wouldn't be concerned as a cavs fans, it takes time
but scoring 100 points on 6 assist ? i didn't watch the game but that doesn't even seem possible, did they just take turn of jacking up their own shots ??
can't even blame it on waitors, he only played 13 minutes and had 1 of their 6 assist lol

Is it just me or do the Warriors seem to be the team to beat on early form. They absolutely handled the Clippers today, and that was even with David Lee getting injured again soon after checking into the game. Their drafting has been great lately getting their two franchise players in Curry and Thompson, the promising talent of Barnes, and an absolute steal in Draymond Green.

Not just you... My predictions... WEST1. Golden State - Call it a hunch, but I think Kerr's really going to take as a coach.

Their drafting has been great lately getting their two franchise players in Curry and Thompson, the promising talent of Barnes, and an absolute steal in Draymond Green. They have been phenomenal, and after watching them meticulously pull apart the Clippers at both ends of the floor (not an easy thing to do), they are in the running for a #1 seed for sure. They are also a really fun team to watch, even with Klay out, because it just makes Curry fire up even more. and Draymond Green has been excellent (what a steal he turned out to be for me, he was a total stab in the dark from the FA list as I had never heard of him! he's averaging 14/7/2 P/R/A and is an excellent role player - one of them glue guys that all teams need. Iggy has embraced his role of the savvy vet that comes off the bench. Bogut has played pretty well too, and David Lee isnt even on the floor - I think he has played like 7 minutes all season. SCARY team!

It's still early but yeah Golden State looks pretty good at least in the playoffs for sure. They still kind of turn it over to much. To me the clippers are the ultimate pretender team. I think the second round is as far as they go in the playoffs again this season.

Is there a market somewhere for first NBA coach to get sacked? Would happily put a 50 on Brian Shaw. Poor start, too many above average players

I can't imagine the beating Philadelphia took today to Dallas is very good for a coaches job security. I did a double take when I checked in in the second quarter and the score was 57-19. I guess he will get a pass at least until mcw gets back. And I guess they were not expected to be any good but still that level of destruction can't be good.

You can get Phil Jackson or Red Auerbach in there and it wouldn't matter, that Sixers roster is (intentionally) a D League caliber roster. Brett Brown may well be a bad coach but you can't really blame him at all for what's going on with that team.

So which team looks worse the Sixers who publicly say that they are intentionally tanking yet have a roster full of young guys with potential or the Lakers signing every nondefending chucker that they can find and pairing them with a defensive minded coach that doesn't want to shoot threes. The Lakers are just as big if not a bigger joke than the Sixers.

Lots of expectations which are not being fulfilled. He'll be okay, his big 3 will save him and moderate chance he ends up title winning coach in the next 3 years. Alot rests on Irving. 53 points is disgraceful, but it's a terrible 76er team that nobody would expect to beat Dallas and away from home. Denver on the other hand got pounded by Portland at home. Lots of good pieces. Unfortunately too many of them probably worthy of having at least some playing time, yet none of them close to being all-stars except Lawson. Some of the contracts haven't really helped. Gallinari ACL injury last year was unlucky. Chandler hasn't been able to stay consistently healthy for a couple seasons. They need to somehow package a number of these guys for a star, except I can't of any star who may be available and who isn't a PG as you would think Lawson is the least likely they would move.

Because (for both Philadelphia/LA) trying to compete, managing to get a slightly better roster, and competing for positions 8-through-12 is the better option? Boggling.
