Wow Wade turns back the clock. Game on, it'll be interesting to see how the Spurs counter back in Miami. Great series so far.

Wow, Miami's big three all show up at the same time. I've got to give them credit, They were excellent. Spo Is very clever. Nice adjustments. These have to be the 2 best adjusting teams in the league. What a series!
If we go by historical statistics, The team with home-court advantage in a 2-2 Series tie has a 2 out of 3 Likelihood of winning the championship. Miami is still in the drivers seat and perhaps they never were not in it.
Fortunately for the spurs the adjustments they have to make are a lot more obvious now then they were after their game 2 loss. One word... Effort.
1. Rebounding at both ends. With bird man and haslem Playing such limited minutes, There is absolutely no excuse for the spurs to lose this category.
2. Turnovers. Miami's defense is way too good To be able to get away With such sloppy passing. Too many passes That are off target and our cutters have to reach back and catch. Tony Parker can't rest in game five as much as he did in last nights game. When he leaves the game the Spurs offense falls apart, Which really isn't supposed to happen but there it is.
3. Transition defense. No more dunks. It's bad enough that Miami was making all of their mid and long range jumpers, We absolutely cannot allow them to do whatever they want on the inside too. Put them on the free-throw line. Championship Spurs basketball does not exist without DEFENSE. More than anything else this must be corrected immediately.
Those three adjustments do not require brains, They require effort and focus.
Splitters Confidence level sucks. The spotlight may be getting too bright for him. Hopefully a couple of days of reaming From pop will help steady him.

Blowing... Blowing... Blown.
We blew it. I can't believe it. I can believe it, But I can't believe it, you know what I mean? We blew it. They blew it. HE blew it. HE Knows who HE is, HE Who is the personification of unmitigated disasters from blown championships long since passed. We blew it. No excuses. We had it. We HAD IT. We practically had the championship ring stuffed into our pocket and were heading out the door as if we were Vladimir Putin himself , Then we blew it.
Timmys hall of fame performance. Wasted. Kawhis Monster game. Wasted. Danny Green's incredible defense. Wasted.
I can't watch game seven. I will record it, Someone can tell me what happened the next day. But I won't watch it. If I do Then I am fairly certain I will drop dead before it's over. I can't take anymore, My heart can't take anymore.
Nobody said it was going to be easy. Game seven In Miami, It doesn't get less easy then that.

The sun came up this morning, As usual, The sun came up this morning with its stupid light and heat. I will be out and among the natives today, It is important to move forward in the wake of disaster. I have been looking forward to this day. Why? Because I knew today would be the most unpleasant thing I would have to endure this week. I am led to a chair where I sit and await my fate. I think to myself how strange This chair looks without straps to hold a person's arms legs and neck in place, How strange it is that people sit in this chair completely voluntarily all the time every day. I have a very bad taste in my mouth, Artificial banana flavoring I think. Shortly after, a long dripping needle Disappears into my gaping pie hole Where it bores into the nerves of my gums. Then instruments... shiny, tiny, sharp, pointy ones. Time passes. Hours. I glanced down at my bib, Apparently I bleed a lot. The doctor holds up a rotten tooth in front of me to see Briefly before she clinks it into a little metal tray. She asks me how I'm doing. With as much defiance as I can muster with a mouth full of bloody cotton, i say,"Is that the best you got?" "Good," She replies,"Only 4 More to go." When my session is over, a session in which I gave up nothing but my rank and serial number I might proudly add, The dental assistant Slowly and kindly escorts me to the front desk. Her name is Amanda, 28, Originally from Houston, No kids and never been married, Two dogs, Two cats, And a rabbit, Has a passion for photography, And thankfully had no knowledge or interest whatsoever in professional basketball. I see the bill. $7700. Ow... wimper... I exit the doctors office and re emerge into the now blazing sunlight, Pessimism is the cloak That shades me from the hated heat. Positive and upbeat faces everywhere. The poor dumb saps, They don't even see it coming. It really is different here. This town unconditionally loves their team. All griping aside, If the Spurs lose the championship tonight you can bet there will be 20,000 San Antonioans at the airport waiting to welcome them home. Outside of Amanda, The spurs have been the topic of conversation of every single person I have come across today and every single group of people I have eavesdropped upon. And not a single doubter among them. Even my pragmatically geared brain can't help but feel a little inspired. Their Faithful example humbles me, Shames me. Lifts me. I have decided to watch the game tonight. If the spurs go down tonight, Then I'm going with them. As important as game seven is, It's not as important as the franchise. It's not as important as the love This city has for this honorable and talented group of men. I will not expect them to win tonight. Nor will I expect them to lose. All I expect of them is to give it their all and to never quit, I am proud of them no matter the result. I can say one thing with certainty now... Losing game six of the nba finals Is worse than getting your teeth pulled out. Glad we answered that ancient question. What is losing game seven like? Getting your arms yanked off? Somebody else will have to test that theory.
I'm done pouting now. I will watch the game tonight with a combination of newfound hope and Unrequited fury. One single game to decide who the best basketball team on the planet is. gsg.

I think it'll be a crazy draft tonight with a ton of movement, I've never seen so many smokescreens by teams.

Dwight signs with Rockets, though I was expecting it. Hopefully we can now land Ellis/Jack. I'd be very happy if we could land both of them, especially Jack who I think is a very underrated PG in this league.

Jack to Cleveland. Weird signing... I think he's a starter quality.

I reckon jack would have been a great signing for the bucks. Would provide more than Jenkins.

how crap is the east at the moment
miami and indina are great teams, atlanta is ok, bulls are tough but now have no rose
the winner of the atlantic might not be .500 team, only 3 teams in the east have more wins then losses
meanwhile in the west, only 3 teams have more losses then wins and one of those (lakers) would be the 7th seed in the east atm lol

The west continues to improve. How good do Portland look at the moment? Lillard is such a huge talent, and Lopez has actually provided this team with some muscle down low. I like them quite a lot, definitely playoff worthy.
The west is by far the more competitive league though.
Spurs dominating, Blazers and Thunder behind them, then you've got an influx of teams fighting in the Clippers, Rockets, Mavs, Warriors, Grizz and Wolves.
The Lakers will crawl back and challenge for a playoff spot once Kobe is back too. The WC continues to be the main conference in the NBA regardless of the fact that the NBA champion has come out of the EC the last two years.

I am pretty despondent about Kobe's re-signing. Not the extension itself, just the magnitude. What the... ?

I agree Malice... what a crazy amount! $48.5 mil is stupid and just plain greedy. For someone that has already earned $279,738,062 (according to basketball-reference.com) in his career, not including endorsements (so you can at least double that figure) he doesn't need the money! Surely taking a pay cut to allow his team to land 2 top level Free Agents so he has a chance to get that elusive 6th ring would have been a better idea. Carmelo, Kevin Love, Bosh, LeBron - theyre all available, and even Melo and Love together with Kobe would be a contender for a couple of years. Greed and arrogance will see Kobe finish his career with 1 less ring than Jordan.

Interesting fact : only 3 of the teams in the East are above .500 (Pacers, Heat and... Hawks?) and and only 3 teams in the West below .500 (Kings, Jazz and Pelicans... Yes I felt stupid even typing that name).

i think its wrong to blame to kobe, it easy to say its earnt this much money why not take less but end of the day why don't the lakers offer less, why don't the lakers wait to see how he comes back from the injury
i understand us wanting kobe to be with us till retirement but at that cost, it might not be worth it, its not like kobe will ever been seen as anything but a laker if he did leave for the last 2-3 years of his career
this deal hurts us and its on mitch
