as i see the scope of the west take form, i believe that the thunder, are going to knock out the kings of the west for about 3ys running now, you know who dat is? The SA Spurs and this year coming i see the Spurs getting more well- defined kwhai is going to be one of those wing 3's thats going to avg around 16 to 18pts and 8 rebs a game not to mention maybe 2 steals a game Danny Green will have a full year under Pop and that always leads to great yrs Tiago is the only "bench player" that i'm worried about he needs to go to OKC and get his manhood back, Gary Neal has ice water in his veins and is the latest Spur to come from nowhere He Paired with Jackson gives the spurs a versatility that only a few teams can match as far as the East goes ( i hardly care ) i think the Heat are going to be in the mix but i'm looking at the Bucks to make some progress soon and as a honorable mention i'd like to say that the GSW are going to be s big surprise Mark Jackson is an good enuff coach that he wont screw it up i dont see how the Mavs are going to be in the playoffs? there are some killer teams inside their own div. are they up-tempo enuff to stay w the Grizz , or Minn ? its going to be tight i believe that the west is still the most Dominate Conf. and it only matters if the Heat get to the finals then who's the matchup ( Spurs might have a shot these next few yrs) here are my 8 in the west: 1. OKC- they need to come out on top this yr or it wont happen 2. Denver- they are going to get to a fast start & catch the Lakers flatfoot 3.San Antonio- way to deep ( is going to carry them during time where duncan rests) Tony's eye injury may bring Cory off the bench faster then first thought 4. LAL- this team's going to be in flux for most of the season going for Howard witch is only going to make them a second round winner at best 5. MEM- i like their D and Post play but losing oj mayo will take a hit 6.LAC- not your Daddy's cilp joint anymore this team is somethin to watch and every once in a while can beat the big boys 7. GSW- i cant lie i have a lil high hopes for this team every time i look at the organization moves i think it was correct so i'm putting pressure on there guys to do well 8.Minn- i know that Rubio didnt play all of the Yr last yr but this team is all ovr the place and KLove needs to get his Gm in line and get some talent around ( i only have minn in now cuz i believe its going to take alwile for the NO to take hold) well thats it as far as this yr goes who cares what the East brings to the Finals in my mind the real drama is in the West---- Robert

As im thinking ill go ahead, and look @ the East, Well as i said i believe the Heat is going to be hard to beat adding Ray-ray and Lewis will be a factor but they do have challengers the Bulls for example would be first up here w Rose back and playing a full season (if that happens) then Chi should be fine but if not then Iny & Bos have a shot at this chi is kinda small now thou w Asik gone they're going to have to pull a rabbit out of their hat @ backup "big" INDY- i like the Pacers and the direction of the Organization is going but they need to be lead and Granger has'nt "nutted-up" yet West is a lil help but it's gotta be George & granger that get them in the Conf Finals Bos- i like the C's as much as anybody Rondo runnin' up tempo ( now he'll have some young guys to help ( could increase their ppg) PHI- its hard to figure otu whats happenin in Phi its a Moving Offense that uses wing ballhandlers but now they're going big for some reason?? Atl- i expect JSmoothy to have the Offense go thru him & thats a blessing and a curse NYK- i actually think that the Knicks are going to struggle this season leaving the door open to the Bucks & Raptors and the like ----but after all that its still Clear the Class of the NBA is in the West and the East has a while to go before they can catch up ---Robert

Nets and Lakers reloaded big time this offseason...
Nets - Lopez, Hump, Wallace, JJ, DWill - massive starting 5 Lakers - Bynum, Gasol, MWP, Kobe, Nash + 6th Jamison - Nash makes any team look awesome and Jamison is the perfect 6th man.. if they land Howard this might be the best starting 5 of all time
comparing that to the Heat who at times will have Bosh, LBJ, Battier, Allen, Wade on the court at the same time and its gonna be a very tight playoff series
Boston have recovered well after the loss of Allen, their support cast looks amazing and will give KG and PP most rest in the regular season
New York are a joke, i loved them during the pre-Melo days as I went to watch 6 of their matches and had Gallo in my 3NC fantasy team that season....I like Jason Kidd and used to collect his basketball cards...I like Marcus Camby as a player...but so long as they persist with Amare and Melo together they are headed for mediocrisy...hasn't worked well in the past

Oh, Roost, it never gets old, me besmirching the good name of Mark Cuban and you come to his rescue.
I'll give you one thing, I didn't get a chance to congrat you on that Dallas win. You do deserve credit for that. I am happy Dirk got one after all.I'll always root for a Texas team in the finals over whoever the other team is.
And yeah, I did see kidd last season. I never said he was good, I said Kidd was an upgrade over collison. Yes Kidd is old, and slow, and terrible, and drunk, AND still better than Collison. I seem to remember Chris Paul getting hurt in New Orleans and Collison playing primary PG, and not even being able to out do whoever the other scrub PG was... I fail to remember the names... but then N.O. thinks highly enough of Collison to trade to get Jarrett Jack to replace him. How do you go thinking Jack is a better option than collison, how insulting! Then he goes to IND where he can't outshine even those crap-eating PGs they have up there. Now, back in the Western Conf, on a Dallas team that has champtionship expectations of their team, he will get clobbered nightly by the elite. Even crappy teams in the West will give him nightmares, even jeremy lin, and dragic, even spunky little Isaih Thomas will feast on hapless Collison.
And so for Chandler... Isn't he from Dallas, correct me if I'm wrong, I might be. But, let me understand, he wins a championship in Dallas, wins Defensive player of the Year, the Knicks offer him a contract, Dallas matches it... Chandler has all that going for him in Dallas, with a shot at another ring, and still decides to go to shit-ass=haven't-been-to-a-championship-in-decades-mess-of-an-organization New York knicks instead? That doesn't tell you something? Maybe there's someone over in Dallas that might get on a player's nerves a little? Maybe someone in the executive office? Maybe even someone in ownership?
And on Mahimni, I never said he was good either. He does suck. He's also a sidestep from Elton Brand. I was just pointing out how Brand is irrelevant almost in the scheme of their offense. You gain some stuff over mahimni, you lose some stuff, it's no big matter.
And you are the mavs fan... is Wince Carter still there? I hope he's not stinking up yalls bench with his colostomy bag.
----------------- But what I really came here for, is to toss out my preseason top 8 in the west since that seems to be going around...
Western Conf preseason playoff 8. 1.LA Lakers 2. San Antonio 3. OKC 4. Denver 5. Memphis 6. Clippers 7. Golden State 8. Minnisota
After the season, I was pretty angry about the Spurs choking away the conf finals and said I thought they would finish in the lottery next season. Well, I'm a little calmer now, but not much happier. They have the exact same machine that won the best regular season intact again this season, so I have little doubt that they will finish with a very good, home court, record. The problem is that is IS the same team as last year, so the same result will likely happen in the playoffs again, unless something changes in trade or free agency in the next several months. Hate to say that.
Lakers have little excuse this season. Talk about getting everything you asked for. They had better win the title out of the west this year. I mean, what fricken more can you want? Ugh.. (jealous of big markets...)
I don't have to go out of my way to point out that I did not include the Mavs in the top 8? Ok, just making sure.
The only thing I would really kinda want to convince myself off changing is Minnisoa, I think the Wolves could be surprising and finish as high as 6th....----
I need some sleep, I guess I'll think about the East tomorrow or something, but the east is easy. Number 1 Miami. Number 2, all the other teams.

Oh, Roost, it never gets old, me besmirching the good name of Mark Cuban and you come to his rescue. Best owner in the league my man ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Thank you ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) lol no he isnt. You really didnt watch much of Kidd last season if you truthfully believe this to be the case. He was the main reason as to why we struggled so badly. He was the main reason as to why we had to hide him on defense whenever up against any legit, quick athletic PG (Westbrook ring a bell?) Dude are you seriously kidding me? What are you going on about? Do you even know what you're talking about? Collison averaged 18.2ppg and 9apg as a starter in 32 games for the Hornets. Who is this player you're thinking about? Collison beasted that season playing the pick and roll for the Hornets. Collison is a pick and roll point guard, something Indy sucked at. I can't believe how much dribble you're sprouting now U.A, and I'm not even a massive Collison fan (I don't see him as our future PG). But to say he "barely" outperformed the Hornets other backup PG continues to show to me that you really don't know what you're talking about and you're playing the guessing game. Have a look at the hornets roster in 2009 mate. This is it. Paul, West, Stojakovic, Posey, Diogu, Aaron Grey, Morris Peterson, Julian Wright, Darren Collison, Sean Marks, Emeka Okafor, Marcus Thornton and Darius Songaila. The only two PG's they had on the roster were Paul and Collison. What are you smoking UA? Seriously man? Do some homework for christ sake. See I'd take this as a matter of opinion, but really, the fact that you're sprouting a bunch of ill informed posts just makes me laugh at you. You cleary know nothing about Darren Collison's career. That trade on the other hand was ridiculous and Indy continue to show how terrible they are at trading. Oh my, dude, I know you have had personal stuff happening in your life, and that's fine dude, we all have that shit and I fully respect that. But a question for you, have you been even watching the nba over the years? 1. Chandler NEVER won the defensive player of the year in Dallas. He won it THIS season gone. 2. Chandler was born in California, went to high school in Dominguez, in California. 3. Again you're wrong. As I said earlier, Chandler wanted a 20 mill per season contract, and all the Mavs were willing to offer was a 20 mill, one year contract. Your conspiracy theores are inaccurate, but with age, comes negativity. We don't lose anything. Brand rebounds at a higher rate, protects the paint at a higher rate, is a better low post scorer, and can also hit a mid range jumper. All Mahinmi does is hit mid range jumpers and drop a solid amount of free throws. Sigh, he's still here. And yes I shall agree with you on that one. If we're talking about trash, he takes the cake. But seriously U.A, do some research man. This is embarrassing.

Just a quick point on the NOH/Collison/Jack deal. NO traded for Jack because he is the bestest friend of CP3 and shockingly (sarcasm) with CP3 gone they traded Jack away. Of course they now drafted a PnR SG in Rivers apparently to play PG so we'll see what happens with that.

Hah roost, give me a break on my gross lack of research. I wasnt practicing my basketball knowledge so much as i was making sure all the buttons on this old Dallas Rooster talking robot still worked. Apparently they do. And there are a lot of buttons too, each one with a different grouchy flailing argumentative reaction. Its awesome!
And stop trying to say i think kidd is good. I keep saying he sucks. We actually agree on that! Are you trying to argue that you think he is more terrible than i think he is? Im sorry, but nobody thinks less of jason kidd than me.

Haha I love it. You realize you are completely wrong, and thus you change your approach and proclaim yourself as a borderline troll, someone trying to get a rise out of another.
Next time U.A, if you decide to troll, try and get your information right. At least that way you won't walk away with your tail between your legs, searching for a way to escape from the hole you've dug.
